A shoe that started as a design Adidas Women experiment in the late ’80s, the adidas Kamanda is heavily inspired by classic soccer styles. The latest release from adidas comes dressed in a Clear Green colorway. It features a Green suede upper with White mesh tongues and leather heel tabs. A milky outsole completes the design.
The Craig Green x adidas Kamanda Collection will include at least five different Comfortable Shoes iterations of the model to choose from. All done using different finishes and materials, design features include translucent upper (4 of the 5 pairs) and even one pair done using a full scale-like material on the upper that mimics the rigid aesthetic of the sole.
Coming in a slew of bold colorways – green, orange, red, navy, black and blue – a recurring adsmithfwt motif in the upcoming collaboration is the use of translucent fabrication seen throughout the uppers. Each color bears a futuristic profile, covered with thin see-through rubber atop contrasting layers underneath. The sneakers come with round laces, while the Trefoil logo is stamped at the heel that sits above thin streaks that underscores the heel. As a finishing note, the sneakers are equipped with a highly texturized rubber sole that underscores the silhouette.
Revealed in two varieties, the Adidas Kamanda Raw Desert first is one toned down upon first glance and then surprisingly unique upon the next as its choice of slightly translucent overlays and glossy unders adds an almost plastic sheen whose reflections cough up a bit of iridescent refractions. In heavy departure, the next is a snake-like show piece crafted in what looks to be one singular piece as scales cascade from the toe to the rear in illusory perpetuity. Sole units match in their wave-like pattern while the coinciding pair opts for the look of the original.
