Christian churches followed by Jordanian Christians

CHRISTIANS Jordan hasan indigenous Christian population that is Arab by descent, with most being Holy Land Levantine Arabs. Retro Jordans,Most Jordanian Christians belong to the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem, which follows the Julian calendar that runs 13 days after the Gregorian calendar used in the west. Christians beliefs focus on the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas, his crucifixion and resurrection celebrated at Easter every year, and the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles of Christ in Jerusalem according to the New Testament Acts of the Apostles 2:1-31 in the celebration known as Pentecost. It is believed the day of Pentecost marked the founding of the Church, and that the Gospel of Christ spread from Jerusalem.

There are other Christian churches followed by Jordanian Christians, including the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Syrian Catholic Church, which share many of the same beliefs. Jordans Shoes,The latter is one of the oldest churches in the world, founded in Asia by, it is believed, St Peter the Apostle. The Roman Catholic Church regards this noted Christian leader, born around the same time as Christ, as its first Pope. Other churches include the Latin Rite Catholic Church, the largest in the Catholic faith and currently headed by Pope Benedict XVI; the Ancient Church of the East; the Anglian Communion; the relatively modern 16th-century Assyrian Church of the East;new jordans, and the Mclkitc Greek Catholic Church, which is followed by Middle Eastern and Greek Christians.

Non-Arab Christians are mostly comprised of Armenians, who follow the Armenian Apostle Church or the Armenian Catholic Church, with the remainder being expatriates from Europe, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and, in more recent times, from Iraq.
