If you listen to that particular tune, the next one WoTLK Gold is probably going to occur by default, and that is rushing to the server first. You do not want to rush the server before, the players who don't have fun playing the game will be those who achieve this achievement.
Chances are even if you did your best, even if you've never done months and months of planning work working on tens or hundreds of thousand of goals in order to complete it ahead of time, you're likely not going to get any server-first achievements by all means but if you're willing to play around with, try it, you may well be lucky. Don't get discouraged if you don't succeed because in reality, the ones who are likely to succeed are those who have spent a lot of effort, time and money into their ability to achieve this.
In terms of money, if there are any remaining goals that you're prepared to sell before the day of launch it is a wise investment to be consumables which you are likely to pop like candy. This means that you can have very large boosts to performance with little or no cost.
