  Graphics problems with Windows 8

HI,

I have Windows 8.1 and just downloaded EE Gold Edition from gog.com (which claimed that it is Windows 8 compatible!)I had 2 issues: graphics and freezing.
I implemented the changes suggested on these forums to fix the freezing (by going to registry and changing 2 files).But the graphics are a real problem. They flicker and glitch in the screens and in the game. I attached a screenshot Does anyone know what may be causing this and how I can fix it?


Please help.

I did not find the right solution from the internet.
