hope for releasing a English version for this forum to someone who don't understand the language here, i just used google translation to read excellent posts here, thx!

If I may ask first:
How do you imagine an English version of this forum?
Gegen-Bilderklau's Users are mostly German (or at least native German speakers)- how would we manage to get an english version of it?
Apart from that, Gegen-Bilderklau has already got more than 3 million posts- never in a million years could we translate these to english ; -)

We do have an english translation of the copyright-advices, due to problems that occured in the past, but I see no possibilities to make Gegen Bilderklau more international by translating anything (which just appears to be impossible to manage).
Gegen-Bilderklau just is a German forum, and I personally see no way we could release an English version of it.

To be honest, I can't imagine there are no similar forums in english, where you couldn't find the information you're looking for.
However, of course english-speaking people are welcome as well as Germans, and I guess that most of the GB-Users are able to understand you and answer you in English as well, if you have any specific questions.
You could also write a PM to one of the team-members if you need any help or information about the forum, but releasing an english version is probably one of the few things that are absolutely impossible right now.
Anyway, as I said, I suppose you could find similar information in English forums.
So, out of interest, in which of the topics here were you especially interested?
You might just google that, and I'd be close to betting you could find an english forum or information about it
Still, that doesn't mean you couldn't ask any questions here as well, but I guess you might feel more comfortable in an english forum.

English isn't that difficult!

Probably someone could create a new Forum, all in English, probably the Pictures from here, but the Discuss-Things you can't translate, that would be too difficult.

How would you get the pictures from Gegen-Bilderklau to a new forum, and translate all the rules, the special permissions and stuff, then?
And I guess, that nowadays, the pictures are not the main reason for people to use Gegen-Bilderklau.
GB is very versatile, and as a forum, I guess the main part of interest mostly includes the discussions and the general exchange of information, and I really see no way to get this to such a new level of internationality.
And GB is GB- taking these pictures to a new forum would need the permission of every single person who has ever posted pictures here.

I really see no way of doing anything about this problem apart from occasional conversations in english here, or having something translated, by either asking the Team, or using things like google translator (which of course translates not as good).
All other possibilities are just not reasonably practicable.
Still, I think there might already exist some similar forums in english, so there should usually be no need for english-speaking people to try to translate german, and maybe get things wrong - why all this trouble if you can have everything in your own first language?
At least these were my thoughts when I thought this over...

Ich meinte es nicht so wie du es verstanden hast, liebe Bille... Kein Vorwurf, ich will nur nicht unnötig missverstanden werden - sonst gibts plötzlich noch Probleme xD Und die Substantive sind aus Gewohnheit am PC gross xD so schreib ich auch Mails an Freunde in Amerika

wieso sollten wir extra nur für engländer deren sprache einrichten?! machn die ja auch nicht! wenn jeder ne extrawurst bräuchte aus russland, bosnien, tschechien, england, italien, frankreich,... dann könnte gb ja gleich ein riesen grosses internationales forum werden?!

der Thread ist, wie du vllt gesehen hast, schon 1 1/2 Monate alt und die Bitte, das Forum auf Englisch einzurichten ebenfalls schon lange abgeschlagen

Ich verstehe die Aufregung nicht. Es ist jetzt nicht vollkommen absurd, nach einer englischen Version zu fragen. Und ja, englisch ist in jeder Hinsicht eine Ausnahme, da sie eine (sogar die bedeutendste...) Weltsprache ist.
Damit sollten die Beweggründe klar sein. Daraufhin wurde die Bitte abgewiesen. Wo ist denn da jetzt noch der Diskussionsbedarf? Ich denke, hier kann geschlossen werden...

Nur weil jetzt eine Person danach gefragt hat?
Lohnt sich ja nicht wirklich..

Geht doch nicht darum, ob Engländer das auch haben, Fakt ist, wer sieht dass es VRHs auch in anderen Sprachen gibt, ist immer begeistert. Ich habe ewig nach einem englischen VRH gesucht, um mehr englisch zu schreiben, allerdings gibts dort keine Berichte... daher glaub ich, dass es für Engländer sehr interessant ist, wieso wir denn Berichte über die Pferde schreiben - nur als Beispiel.

Für den interkulturellen Austausch wäre ein englisches Forum also super (wer sich auf englischen, finnischen VRHs umgeschaut hat, ist da glaub ich schnell neugierig..). Dennoch wäre die Basissprache englisch und von daher wär es doch viel sinnvoller, wenn dieses Forum von Engländern aufgebaut wird - ganz sicher wird es aber kein GB, man kann lediglich Themen übernehmen.

Wie genial das ist, wie hier alle von England und Engländern reden. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass das Ganze von einem US-Amerikaner oder Kanadier.. ähh.. suggested.. (wie heißt'n das auf deutsch? ) wurde, ist doch sowas von viel, viel, VIEL höher, huh?

Anyways. GB komplett zu übersetzen ist - wie Bille so schön sagte - impossible & not reasonably practicable.

Thread ist meiner Meinung nach.. ähh.. hinfällig und kann zu.

Ich denke ehrlich gesagt, dass sich die Geschichte hier durchaus geklärt hat, und hier kein weiterer Diskussionsbedarf besteht, vorerst ist wohl klar, dass sich an GB sprachentechnisch soweit erstmal nichts ändern wird.
Ich schließe hier dann mal.
